Born in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Ms. Pernot found her love of art and photography, a plus when it comes to her career in hospitality. With a degree in Interior Design, Carol started right out of
college to incorporate her skills in the event world, and creating one of a kind events for the fashion
industry, private clients or special wedding parties. With the start of a new decade in the year 2000 Ms.
Pernot joined the luxury hotel industry and with over 20 years in hotels Ms Pernot is a seasoned award
winning sales, catering and events management executive.
She made her mark with Marriott International when joining the pre-opening team of the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia. Excelling in her position as the Conference Floor Manager, Carol’s Philadelphia up bringing gained a true following with her clients, always exhibiting the warmth and strength needed to attain and surpass the Ritz Carlton’s Credo taking care of the clients with her personalized service. Ms. Pernot received a 5 STAR achievement award for her creation of the Christmas Ginger Bread Tea, an interactive children’s program, as well as creating the entire holiday visual for the hotel including a 35 foot decorated tree in the center of the hotel’s marble rotunda. While in Philadelphia Carol received the Ritz Carlton 5 Star award for Manager of the Quarter.
In 2003 Pernot welcomed a relocation to New York and a position at the world famous PLAZA hotel
where she cultivated her relationships with clients having Weddings, Mitzvahs, and Corporate Meetings.
At the PLAZA Carol was able to continue her education and attained a Trainer Certification as well as
receiving her Certified Meeting Planner Certification.
After rejoining Marriott International at the prestigious NY Marriott Marquis as Banquet Manager she was
tasked to revamp the banquet visual displays of more than one hundred thousand square feet of meeting
space, she received a Marriott Special Achievement Award for that project. Then accepting a promotion
as Director of Banquets at Marriott Downtown, Carol incorporated new service values and training
platform as well as a redesigned look of the banquet department from set-ups to uniforms increasing
revenue for all events. Her work ethic as well as her vision and client relationships garnered her an award
of Manager and the quarter and Manager of the Year. In 2010 Ms Pernot made a move to the West Coast
as Opening Director of Banquets for the Ritz Carlton and the JW MARRIOTT at L A LIVE , in this position
she opened the two newly built hotels, and a freestanding conference center consisting of a hundred and
forty thousand square feet of meeting space. Carol’s Motto “ Eyes are the first taste “ proved true , she
created a department that incorporated trends and visuals that no other hotel maintained. Clients were in
awe of the visual experience and service standards as well as the one on one service. Again gaining
special recognition and a special achievement award for her client relationships and award winning
Banquet Dept .
Moving back to the East Coast, Ms. Pernot started on a new venture in Catering Sales at the
Renaissance Time Square New York. The trendy and boutique atmosphere are a perfect fit for her. Ms
Pernot took the hotel to new heights with her event vision and client relationships, incorporating repeat
business year after year as well as seeking hotel growth with new clients. Also driving e-marketing making the RLOUNGE and the hotel the go to place for not only events but national recognition for film
and TV shoots in Time Square. With her non stop work ethic, she received a Marriott Special
achievement award for having the highest revenue per square foot for her sought after New Years Eve
events, also received a BRAND award from Renaissance for holding the hotel to the highest Brand
Her passion for service drives her on a personal level like no other and that reflects in the warm, cozy, family atmosphere of The Frogtown Inn.
